Vrat Pulao

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cloves (Lonng)
  • 3 Cups of water
  • 2 Cardamoms (elaichi)
  • 3 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Teaspoon kala namak (Rock Salt)
  • 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1.5 Cup of samwat ke chaawal (Vrat rice)
  • 1-2 Cinnamon stick (Dalchini)

How to make vrat ke chawal:

  • Heat olive oil; mix in Jeera seeds, cloves, elaichi and dalchini.
  • When slightly brown colored, mix in rice.
  • Stir-fry till they look a little fried.
  • Mix in vrat salt, chilli powder and water, and bring to a boil. (You can also steam)
  • Cook for 15 minutes, covered on low flame.
  • Garnish with corinder leaves.
  • Serve Hot
