Diet to Manage High blood pressure

Let food be your medicine! A well planned balanced diet and exercise plan along with certain lifestyle changes can help you reduce the intake of Blood Pressure medication. Just by changing certain meal components and meal timings, you may be able to better control your high or low blood pressure.   A varied menu including high-potassium foods like fruits, (especially bananas),vegetables and low-fat milk products, as well as lean meats and fish and avoiding salt, saturated fats and excessive alcohol intake will help in blood pressure management. Maintaining a healthy weight is good insurance, and experts say that losing 10 percent of your current weight can help lower blood pressure.
