Mix rice flour, oil, asafoetida and salt in a bowl.
Knead a soft dough of this mixture using curd and water.
Now put this dough into a chakli press and form round whirls from it.
Transfer onto a greased baking tray and slowly create swirls while starting from the center to the outside. Repeat to make more chaklis.
Pre-heat oven at 160°C (320°F) and bake these chaklis for 10 to 15 minutes.
Turn the chaklis to the other side when one side turns golden brown in color and continue baking till the other side also gets the color.
Cool and store in air tight containers to retain freshness.
