Bendakaya Or Okra Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Bendakaya (bhindi), chopped into small pieces
  • 1,1/2 Large onion, sliced
  • 3-4 Green chilies, slit
  • 2 Tsp coriander powder
  • 1 Tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder
  • Olive Oil -1 table spoon
    Method:
  1. Heat oil in a wok.
  2. Add the onions and green chilies to it.
  3. When onions become pink in color, add the ground spices.
  4. Then add the bendakaya and salt and see it mixed nicely with the onions and spices.
  5. Cover the wok and lower the heat just for two minutes.
  6. Take off the heat and fry by stirring on high heat for another 5 minutes and take off the heat.
  7. Serve hot with chapatis
