Baked Mushroom Rolls
Ingredients:
Filling:
2 cups of sliced mushrooms
2 teaspoon of oil
1/4th cup of chopped onions
Half teaspoon of green chilies (finely chopped)
1/4th teaspoon of dried oregano
2 tablespoon of finely chopped coriander leaves
1 teaspoon of wheat flour
Salt and black pepper powder to taste
Tomato Sauce:
2 cups of chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoon of chopped onions
1 garlic clove (large)
1/4th teaspoon of red chili powder
Salt to taste
White Sauce:
2 tablespoon of wheat flour
Half a cup low-fat milk
Half teaspoon oil
Salt and black pepper powder to taste
And, finally three half cooked wheat chappatis.
Preparation Method:
- In a broad non-stick pan, heat oil. Add to it onions and chilies and saute them for 1 minute on a medium flame.
- Then add mushrooms and salt and again saute for 2 minutes.
- Now add dried oregano, coriander and black pepper. Keep stirring. Keep for about a minute.
- Then, add to it whole wheat flour and mix thoroughly the mixture and heat on same medium flame for about a minute or two.
- Remove from flame and divide this filling in three equal portions.
- Now to prepare the tomato sauce, combine tomatoes, onions, garlic and 2 and a half tbsp of water in a deep pan and stir them well.
- Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook at medium flame for 5-6 minutes.In between stir occasionally.
- Then, put it off the flame and let it cool completely.
- When the mixture has cooled down, blend it till smooth.-Again, put the mixture to heat in a non-stick pan, add salt and chili powder. Stir well and let it cook for about 2 minutes.
- Now proceed to make white sauce. For this, again heat some oil in a broad pan, add wheat flour and cook it for about a minute.
- Add milk to it and cook for 2 minutes with continuous stirring.
- Add slat and pepper and mix well. Remove from flame
- Finally, place the half cooked chappati on a dry surface and place one portion of the filling in the middle and then roll it up tightly.
- Repeat the same for the other two rotis.
- Place the 3 rolls on a baking dish, brushed with little oil. Pour over it one by one, both the sauces evenly.
- Bake your mushroom rolls in a pre-heated oven at 200°C for 5 minutes and serve.
