Curd Rice

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Boiled brown Rice
  • 2 cups of plain yogurt (Curd)
  • Oil very less
  • 1/4 cup double toned or skimmed milk
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1-2 green chilies
  • 1 tsp. chana daal
  • 1 tsp. urad daal
  • 1 tsp. mustard seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp. finely chopped ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  Method:
  1. Heat oil in a saucepan.
  2. Add mustard seeds when they start popping to the oil add chana and urad daal.
  3. After a minute, add ginger, coriander and green chilies.
  4. Sauté them for a minute.
  5. Take the pan off the gas.
  6. Then add rice and salt.
  7. Just before serving, mix all the ingredients with yogurt (curd) and milk.
  8. Curd rice is ready to be served.
