Curd Shorba Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup low fat milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped cucumber
  • 3 cup low fat curd
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 2 tbsp chopped green chillies
  • 2 tbsp low fat butter or oil
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 4 tbsp besan
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
Directions:
  1. Combine besan, curd and turmeric powder and mix them until no lumps are left.
  2. Heat oil in non-stick pan and add cumin seeds.
  3. Add green chillies, ginger and cook on a low flame for 10 seconds.
  4. Add onions and cook for approx 2 minutes.
  5. After this, add the mixture you had prepared earlies along with half cup water and milk. Mix them well and cook on low flame for 4 minutes and keep on stirring occasionally.
  6. Add tomatoes, cucumber and salt and saute for another minute.
  7. The soup is ready, garnish it with coriander and serve immediately.
