Foods To Avoid

Why are some foods so against the pregnant ladies? The foods which just would have hurt your immune system a bit or would have cause stomach upset before could mean complicated and serious when pregnant, from dehydration to miscarriage. Scared? Well, don’t be. To be safe why nor have a look to what to eat what nor to in process to avoid the common culprits of food born complications.

Eggs

Raw eggs are not good for pregnant ladies as they may have salmonella bacterium which causes fever, diarrhea, vomiting etc. So when you are eating somewhere, do have a check on each dish you’ve ordered for. None should contain any part of raw egg. Also be cautious about the salad dressing. Also avoid having sunny side up or any dish with either yolk or white not completely cooked.

Sushi

Sushi isn’t safe when you are pregnant because it consists of parasites which may cause illness to expecting ladies.

Unpasteurized Juice

Avoid unpasteurized juice, say like the cider from the farm stands. Juices that doesn’t go under pasteurization, the method of killing toxins and bacteria aren’t safe for baby bearing ladies. Though there are mostly pasteurized things available in the market, still there are brands on shelves which will disappoint you, so read the label before you put it in the basket to bill.

Caffeine

Caffeine confuses many but then experts say if one takes 300 mili grams of it on a daily basis it causes no harm. This is a big relief for mothers to be as coffee and tea are something unavoidable. So one mug everyday won’t harm, yes four five of the same would definitely.

Soft Cheese

Soft cheese like feta, brie and gorgonzola were considered potentially harmful once as they could harbor listeria. Listeria can cause listeriosis which can pass on to the fetus leading to premature delivery, stillbirth or miscarriage. But one can have them if they are made with pasteurized milk. So strictly check labels to know if it’s fit for you.

Alcohol

Well from long it has been considered not good for a pregnant women’s health but then these days doctor advise to drink alcohol occasionally. Say like you can have some wine twice a week. Doctor says it does good rather than harm.
